Back on June 26, 2012 we reported the folks at the Blytheville Humane Society were at their wit’s end over the loss of Pixie.

An abused dog they had rescued and looked after for more than six months was finally on her way to foster care when she got away from her handler.

Now, after more than 240 days of searching, Suzie Brooks of the humane society is happy to report Pixie is home “safe and sound.”

“We want to thank all of those who have helped search for her.  She looks so great. Just like the day she left us,” Suzie said in an email to Your Region 8.
