Groups apply for 7 new charter schools in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR (AP) - State officials have received applications to open seven new charter schools across the state.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (http://bit.ly/nm1Lbi) reports that nonprofit groups have applied to open two schools in Osceola, along with one new school each in Little Rock, Jonesboro, West Memphis, Texarkana and Marianna.
