Qdoba, Everyday Chef coming to Jonesboro

Haag Brown Commercial announced Friday it has closed on a deal to bring a new restaurant and store to Jonesboro.

Qdoba Mexican Grill and The Everyday Chef will be located on Parkwood Drive facing Sissy's Log Cabin and Panera Bread, according to a news release from Haag Brown Commercial.

Nix Construction has already begun site work and completion is expected in late summer.

April is National Autism Awareness Month.

To raise awareness and help families in Your Region 8 affected by autism spectrum disorders, a fundraiser will be held today at Colton's Steak House, 2309 E. Parker Rd. in Jonesboro.

From 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Coltons will donate 10 percent of their daily sales to the Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas (AANEA).

AANEA will also have a table set up by the front door with more information for families who have a child with an autism spectrum disorder.

McDonald’s owner-operators throughout Your Region 8 will be hosting a hiring day Wednesday, July 18.

They are expected to hire as many as 1,000 new workers in Northeast Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, west Tennessee, north Mississippi and southwest Kentucky.

Jobs available include seasonal, full-time and part-time positions.

April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), autism affects 1 in 88 children.  It's estimated that more children will be diagnosed with the developmental disability this year than with diabetes, cancer or AIDS combined.

To help raise awareness and support North America's largest autism science and advocacy organization, treat yourself to a blueberry bagel or a wildberry smoothie at Panera Bread.

Five Guys coming to Jonesboro

Five Guys coming to Jonesboro

 

After months of speculation, Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development announced Tuesday, March 13, that Five Guys Burgers and Fries is coming to Jonesboro.

The restaurant will be located at 2100 Stadium Blvd.  Construction is expected to begin immediately.

Five Guys is based in Washington, D.C. and has more than 900 restaurants in the United States and Canada.  The restaurant offers hamburgers, hot dogs and French fries.

ABC approves restaurant's beer permit

 

Care for a cerveza with your fajitas and burritos?

You'll soon be able to order a beer with your meal at Mi Pueblo Authentic Mexican Restaurant, 1720 West Keiser Ave. in Osceola.

Last week the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control board approved the restaurant's application to sell beer.

The chief of police and the sheriff had no objections to the Osceola restaurant's request.
